We had a full house at our August welcome event! Thank you to all who came. Our theme for the year is Bloom Where You are Planted, a Proverb that means to grow and flourish in any situation, even when it’s difficult. Corral Volunteers

Each month throughout the school year, the Corral requests volunteers to help at lunchtime. It’s a great way to catch a glimpse into your son’s school life and get a picture with your handsome Bronco while providing the rest of our Broncos a tasty lunch! If you are interested, please sign up here. Please note the time you sign up for, as early release days and Day C follow different schedules. Family members are also welcome to sign up to volunteer. We appreciate your help!

Upcoming volunteer opportunities will include the Companion’s Dinner and the Alumni Grand Reunion. We would love to have your help at these events. Please keep your eye out for these SignUps in September.

A heartfelt thank you goes to …

  • Prayer services committee Diane Kar and Courtneay Odden for welcoming our moms back to school with a truly beautiful service and incorporating our theme for the year to Bloom Where You are Planted. Many thanks also to our volunteer readers; Bob Ryan, Brophy President, for his words; and Fr. Bill Muller, S.J. Vice President for Mission & Identity, for his prayer and blessing.

  • Our rock star Hospitality Committee of Lindsey Keeler, Monica Lindstrom and Stacey Warfield, and Megan Forristall, Mothers’ Guild VP Operations, for setting up and taking down and making our first Mothers’ Guild event on Aug. 21 a success.

  • Our fabulous Connectors Group who helped with check-in, food and beverages set up, and the many tasks for the committee showcase on Aug. 21. Thank you, Johanna Brunt, Piper Hunkins, Sonya La Sota, Lory Muirhead, Marisa Panattoni, Anica Parker, Ana Paul, Allison Perrin, Susan Reina, Beth Springer, and Melissa Zabor!

  • All the generous moms who supported the community service initiatives at our Aug. 21 event, including donations of much needed medical supplies to the Kino Border Initiative clinic. Your donations are helping to provide free medical care to migrants.
  • All of our wonderful committee chairs for setting up their tables and promoting their events to our moms at the committee showcase. We have so many fun things planned for this year!

  • Chrissy Adams, Heather Gabarino, and Ana Paul for assisting student shoppers in the Brophy Clothing Exchange on Friday, Aug. 23.

  • Elli Kaprosy, Angela Lechter, Heather Miller, and Rachana Patel, our incredible senior mom committee for organizing and planning the first senior mom social on Aug. 28. It was a fabulous night for our senior moms to connect and bond at the start of this momentous year. A big thank you to Tavia Moore, who graciously opened up her beautiful home to host the senior moms.

  • So many superstar moms (including Laurie Amato, Patrice Ayalawho, Monica Osselaer, and Nichole Weems pictured here) who rolled up their sleeves to volunteer in the Corral this month. It’s fast-paced and hard work, but so gratifying to feed those hungry Broncos!
